About me

I’m Gen, a qualified and insured equestrian coach based near Newmarket, with up-to-date DBS clearance, first aid and safeguarding certification.

I’ve been riding my whole life and I am at my happiest when I’m around horses. I particularly enjoy hacking out, and I love the freedom of a decent canter in an open space, or a pop over a fallen log to blow away the cobwebs. However, all of that has been underpinned by years of training.

I came to coaching later in life, after realising that I had the skills and experience to help other riders achieve their goals, and I am passionate about helping others succeed in their own equestrian journey.

I work with riders of all levels, from beginners to experienced riders, focusing on teaching correct techniques and building a strong foundation which can be applied to riding in-between coaching sessions, and beyond.

I know that every rider is unique and, by understanding people’s goals and motivations, and any fears or concerns, I shape the content and sequence of coaching sessions, adapting if something isn’t working for an individual.

I am committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment for both horse and rider. I believe that learning should be fun and rewarding, and I strive to make every lesson a positive experience.

If you are looking for a supportive, positive and passionate equestrian coach, please contact me today to schedule a free consultation. I would love to help you achieve your riding goals.
